The Town Wide Clean Up is still on! Hope to see you at Great Hill anytime from 9-12!
Today’s Town Wide Clean Up was advertised as “Rain or Shine” – so as of now, we are on. We will update sooner if the event gets postponed.
Next Thursday, May 13th at 7:00pm, there will be an open house for all North Weymouth residents at the Whipple Senior Center. This will be your chance to meet members of the NWCA and your neighbors. There will be light refreshments served and we’ll be discussing information that pertains to North Weymouth.
Want some free advertising? Help us out on our Great Hill Park Clean Up on May 8th from 9-12pm by fixing a few benches with 2X8s and bolts. We’ll mention you and/or your business on our website, Facebook page and next Newsletter! Or, if you are just a person who can knock this project out fast, we’d love to have you help out. Please pass on to anyone who may be interested in lending a helping hand with this project! Call Becky at 781-812-1294 for more details.
Some parents of Wessagusset Primary School organized an Earth Day clean up last week to clear away garbage and brush from the paths leading from the beach parking lot to the school & baseball field. A lot of great volunteers help make this event a successful one! Take a look at their efforts by visiting their Facebook Group HERE.
We are very excited to be taking part in Weymouth’s Town Wide Clean Up on Saturday May 8th from 9 am – 12 pm.

Our event is open to all interested individuals and is not limited to association members – so bring your family and friends and let’s help Great Hill Park!
In honor of Earth Day, some parents at Wessagusset Primary School organized a clean up of the path between the parking lot and school. This clean up will be held this coming Thursday (Earth Day). Many thanks to everyone who came out to help clean up Beals Park this past Saturday! It was a windy and chilly day, but we still managed to get a lot done. Those association members in attendance included, John Peruzzi, Becky & James Haugh, Elaine Tufts, Mary & Dick Dorey, Jim & Becky Rinella, Courtney & Dennis Dunn, Courtney Gallagher & a few others who didn’t sign in.
Although we didn’t get much done down by the basketball court – we did get most of the area by the playground and general field area cleaned up. We swept up all the broken glass on the basketball court and were able to paint the two stone walls that flank the park up by Athens St.
Here are some pictures of our efforts (you can also see more pictures on our Facebook Fan Page):
The weather report is showing a high of 58 and Sunny for tomorrow – a great way to kick off our “2010 Bridge-To-Bridge Clean Up!”
Come join us from 10 – about noon to help clean up Beals. We’ll have a small table set up with supplies (garbage bags, latex gloves, newsletters and some light refreshments) by the Athens St. entrance. Becky & Christa will be hosting it so look out for them.
Just a reminder that you do not have to be part of the NWCA to attend. Invite your neighbors and friends to come along! Kids of all ages are welcome to come on by. Even if you can’t help out a lot, we’d love to have you drop by to say “hi”.
If you have any questions, please call Becky at 781-812-1294.
